BUSINESS OF THE DAY: Round two… Another Trip to the ATM.

TODAY'S AGENDA

We’ve walked through this process before, but this takes your child through different aspects of the experience at an ATM. Bring your child along to the ATM, and let's get to more learning!

THE PRESENTATION SLIDE WITH TODAY'S OBJECTIVES: Why You're Doing This

  • Focus on driving the conversation to coaching to the fact that the money coming out of the machine doesn’t just appear - it comes from your account with the bank. And your money gets into your account because you are paid by your company for the work yo

THE FAMILY CONFERENCE CALL: Questions to Talk About Together

  • Why do we slide the bank card first? How do you think the machine knows that’s our account?
  • What is printed on the card? What do you think that long number is for?
  • How does Mommy or Daddy make money to put in her or his account?

STOCK TIP

Parents, show your child your bank card, and let him or her “feel” the name and numbers printed on the card. Then, if making a withdrawal, let your child see and “feel” the bills. We pay so often with credit or debit that kids don’t see, touch, or hold money as often as they should.
