The Bea is for Business platform, flagship children's book, and online learning materials are built on the principles recommended by the Common Core State Standards. From vocabulary development and real-world application, to math concepts and broadened knowledge exposure, Bea is for Business is a resource for bringing the recommended Standards to life at home and in the classroom.
What are the Common Core State Standards?
The Common Core State Standards Initiative is a state-led effort to provide a clear understanding of what students are expected to learn, so educators know what they need to teach. Coordinated by the National Governors Association Center for Best Practices (NGA Center), the Standards are designed to be relevant to the real world, giving students knowledge and skills to position them for success in the future.

The Bea is for Business learning resources and themes have been reviewed by Laura Rosenbach, PhD. As a Principal, PhD, and a former teacher, Dr. Rosenbach's guidance on materials, topics and activities helped form a set of unique, activity-focused educational platform for educators and parents to initiate with their children. We are especially grateful for her consult in helping us bring the Common Core State Standards to life through Bea is for Business.
We are also thankful to Mrs. Lauren MacWinnie and her third grade class at Selwyn Elementary School in Charlotte, North Carolina, for their listening ears, feedback, insights, and wonderfully-conceived business ideas that helped Bea is for Business get off the ground.
